Dr. Patricia Zadeh is a compassionate and experienced clinician who guides individuals through their unique journeys of healing and self-discovery by emphasizing personal strengths, insight, and empowerment.
With a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Master's degree from Antioch University, Dr. Zadeh draws from a wealth of clinical knowledge and real-world experience. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, warm, and deeply humanistic. She believes strongly in the power of exploration, curiosity, and emotional insight. Her practice supports adults, teens, and older adults facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, identity concerns, and relationship difficulties. Clients often describe her as approachable, calming, and intuitive—a grounded and personable clinician who offers an emotionally safe space where healing can unfold.
With experience across diverse cultural, linguistic, and professional settings, Dr. Zadeh is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and works effectively with clients from many walks of life. She has provided care in mental health and medical environments including the Red Cross, Cancer Center of Santa Barbara, and numerous assisted living and rehabilitation facilities throughout Southern California. Her clinical background includes treatment of complex trauma, chronic mental illness, addiction, and individuals coping with terminal and chronic illnesses.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Zadeh has taught psychology at the university level and served as a student counselor. Her passion for ongoing learning has led her to pursue advanced training in neurofeedback, and she has also studied Buddhist meditation facilitation.
Dr. Zadeh has actively contributed to several community-based and emergency response organizations, including the Santa Barbara Psychological Association (SBCPA), Santa Barbara Medical Reserve Corps (SBMRC), and the Santa Barbara Response Network (SBRN). She is certified in Psychological First Aid (PFA) and is a trained Trauma Resilience facilitator. Through her volunteer work with the SOS (Signs of Suicide) program, she has supported early intervention and education for youth and families.
Her doctoral dissertation focused on the psychological effects of narcissistic abuse in intimate relationships, highlighting the long-term emotional impact such dynamics can have on women. This research reflects her deep commitment to exploring complex relational issues with insight, empathy, and clinical depth.
In 2020, the Santa Barbara Response Network (SBRN) recognized Dr. Patricia Zadeh for her outstanding service since 2018. She has played a vital role in their crisis response efforts, offering unwavering compassion, dedication, and meaningful impact on the Santa Barbara community.
Since joining, Dr. Zadeh has supported SBRN in numerous ways—assisting in Compassion Centers, answering distress calls, conducting suicide assessments in schools, distributing food and supplies to families in need, responding to emergency hotlines, and helping immigrant families with translation and resource referrals.
